Although Peter Werth have been dressing the nation for 40 years, an accolade that the tailors are crying out with their new AW range, I’ve only recently fell in love with them via their amazing Bauhaus navy cord donkey coat. Short button through which is perfect for my shorter frame, and in a colour that would go with most of the ontrend colours (camel, red, etc), and with a British heritage from the 19th century design, it seems to be the perfect addition to my wardrobe. As I was frantically looking through their concession, rubbing fabrics and testing thicknesses, I came across more and more inspirational pieces: the red version of the Bauhaus, the Caff borg collared blouson, and the high price, high maintenance but high impact Culford suede bomber, to name just three. Taking inspiration from their working class roots, and the 70s (when they were founded), Peter Werth’s 40th anniversary collection harnesses their contemporary look and decades of experience to produce a versatile, stylish and affordable range that can boost any ailing wardrobe.
